Inland Knights - new remix on latest Drop release

The latest release on the Inland Knights label "Drop Music" 'Lentil Block EP' by Larry Fives will be released on 10th December 2007.

Drop Music reach release number 55 with a reputation in the deep house genre that is unrivalled. Home to the Inland Knights since 1998 Drop is quite simply a deep house institution. It's one of those rare labels that people will buy without needing to hear the music. It's one of those rare labels that has made such a significant impact on dance music that DJs walk into record shops and ask "I'm after music that sounds like Drop". Every track Drop release is heavily road tested by the Inland Knights prior to being signed, ensuring dancefloor devastation every time, without fail. The quality control on the label has proved second to none over the past decade, something that will be proved next year as Drop prepare to release a '10 years of...' CD compilation.

Larry Fives has close ties with the Inland Knights and looks set to embark on a great solo career if this debut EP is anything to go by. A quick search of Discogs reveals his true identity, but it's one he doesn't want to advertise too heavily. Larry has so far released a well received remix for Shake & Pop records which found fans in the Lawnchair Generals, Mark Farina and Swirl People. While undoubtedly drenched in Midlands house heritage, the two original tracks on this EP are a slight departure from the traditional Drop sound and see the label exploring new avenues.

Inland Knights are on hand for remix duties in what is a first for the label; until now Drop have never commissioned a remix, every track on every EP has been an original production. But when you have the Knights eager to give their own take on 'Dance Me Dance You' it'd be rude to say no really!
