Nathan Coles adds another release to his already impressive discography.
Teaming up again with his long term collaborator, David Coker, they have been realising tracks together for over 10 years on several projects (Housey Doingz, Get Fucked, Coles and Coker, Smart Alex).
"Love Sludge EP" was relased on 24th September and is getting a great response already.
FROM IDJ - SEPT 07 - RATING 4/5
"Love Terrorist" sees Coles and Coker deliver a pounding slab of jacking house tips a wee nod to the electronic styles that are in abundance right now. A slight change of style for LMD (besides that cracking Harold Heath EP a while back), but it works a treat. Bleepy, trippy bit full of energetic house charm, this will work for all discerning house DJs whether your style is energetic or organic. "Sweat Bomb" is more a squelchy, full fat affair with Strakes and Dafeet turning in a deeper, dubbed out rub. Yet another LMD delight for the collection.
OTHER DJ REACTIONS:
Inland Knights: Really like Sweat Bomb, have been playing lots, love it!
Harold Heath: Coles & Coker - As you know I loved both of the originals, theyve been really big tracks for me.
Shafunkerz: Wow, another corker from LMD, one of my favourite labels delivers another bomb EP. All mixes deliver. Love Terrorist is going to be in the box for many months!
Murray Richardson: love the coles & coker...all 3 rips are wicked...sweat bomb original is the bomb and love terrorist is well naughty! yep been playing this all weekend and cant get enough of it!!!
Sonny Wharton: this is an awesome release...big n chunky but with the swing alot of tracks are missing at the moment. Im into both tracks with SweatBomb being the standout for me. Top stuff that i cant wait to play out in Shanghai this weekend :)
Tyler Stadius: Love these tunes. Real funk & bounce in them. Ill use them for sure.
Matt J: sweat bomb is my fav, real kick ass bump to it!
Al Bradley:The usual quality from LMD! As Nathans stuff is generally in my sets somewhere, Ill have no trouble dropping all 3 of these, as usual the Dafeet&Strakes chaps manage to compliment the original in fine style, adding that LMD-ness to proceedings. Excellent all round, the 2 "Sweat Bomb" cuts being my picks, 100% quality tech house!
Russell Pollitt:
Usual standards kept tight here. Love Terrorist for me, its got all the needed credentials to get a dancefloor moving & grooving. Will Hype & Cool Cut this week, and put on my CD that gets whizzed round for various radio guest mixes.
John Davis (Headtunes):
Thanks so much for the promo...Once again Imm loving it. Nathan is one of my faves and I was expecting great things when I got this, and they delivered. Me love this one long time!!!
Oleg Wave:
This really stands out among others - has a very catching groove and original Chicago house flavour! The "Sweat bomb" is a real mixture of techhouse, chicago house and garage with its fat bassline and quircky vocals. The original is my favourite. Will defenitely play it a lot.
The other two tracks are also quality stuff.
Adam Collins
Freaking great relelase. I think this is my fave on LMD yet. The Strakes and Defeet takes the original to another level. Great changes in the vocals and over all mood. Played it 3 times this past weekend at some private events in Manhattan
Ross Couch:
Good to see more quality artists on the label. Liking the original mix of Sweat Bomb best here, nice bit of dirty funk thatll work well on the dancefloor.
Oli Faulkner:
That Nathan Coles track you sold me on Lost My Dog did the business on Sunday at Space!
Magnus Asberg (On The House):
Oh yea! Like all trax been playing them out for a while now. The Strakes&Dafeet mix is very cool. The 2 originals are top notch house from to of my top buddies. Very good production, sounds great on a big system.
