Misstress Barbara releases on Border Community

Misstress Barbara is happy to be releasing the tasty "Barcelona" and "Jamais Moi Sans Toi" package on Border Community Recordings.

Given the Border Community's special relationship with the Catalan capital, A-side "Barcelona" is aptly named indeed: joyful, exuberant and hypnotic, it boasts real kicks and a crisp top end true to Barbara's techno roots - and decidedly refreshing sounding to these ears. Most importantly, "Barcelona" makes no apologies for being nice – and why should it?

Flipside "Jamais Moi Sans Toi" actually began life as an alternative version of the A-side, but very soon took on a life and rather melancholic soul all of its very own: a real tearjerker to testify that Misstress Barbara is the lucky owner of a very special natural feel for melody of which most can only dream.

Finally it falls to Border Community governor James Holden to transform the almost untouchable "Barcelona" into the obligatory tool versions, adding the twisted glitchy "Bass Tool", and the equally twisted washes of melody of the "Bell Dub" into the mix.
