INLAND KNIGHTS - Remix of Larry Fives new release

Drop releases are always well received but this one has been eagerly awaited by fans. Larry Fives aka Laurence from deep house duo and label owners Inland Knights goes out alone with a three tracker, including an Inland Knights remix.

Moody deep house is the result, fat bass and dreamy tech synths on the A side while the B bumps it up with two kicking tracks. All in all a very good release that will remain in your bag.

Larry Fives has a long history with Drop but he's a little shy about revealing his true identity (O. Bin Laden perhaps?) so we won't persure the matter. Anyhow, this EP is a gem. 'Freezer' combines typically Drop chunky beats, and enveloping disco-ish bassline and killer Moog melodies to such an effect it should get mucho across-the-board support. 'Dance Me Dance You' meets halfway between the Midlands and deepest Germany, stopping off in Paris on the way. Class, as is the Inland Knights Remix with its raw, driving funk.

Our House Mag
"I've got all 55 releases on Drop and I thought I had an extensive knowledge of the label's close family ties like The Littlemen, Da Sunlounge, Jay West, Toka Project and the likes, but Larry Fives is a new one on me which would part explain the ever so slight absence of the now trademark Drop sound, but never the less it's a welcomed and refreshing change as 'Freezer' has more of a dreamy, hypnotic yet electronic feel to it. 'Dance Me Dance You' consists of some nice little vocal snippets that ride above a bleepy backdrop and an understated groove which Inland Knights couldn't resist being in on the action to and commissioned a remix which they have never done before as all of the Drop stuff has only been original material up until now. It is of course their usual high end standard of fu**ing class."
