Reflecting the Barclaycard Mercury Prize’s wide reaching remit, Recommends features many different genres and showcases up and coming artists and bands alongside some of the biggest names in music.

Nyman and McAlmont have a long established partnership, the composer’s peerless ear for arrangement complimenting the vocalist’s rich and resonant delivery. Their new project introduces a new talent, DJ, producer and remixer Max Cooper, who’s made a name for himself in the convergent worlds of abstract Electronica and left field Techno. Cooper accentuates the beauty and poise of the original work, chopping  vocals and reworking strings to excellent effect.
