For him the two were never separate camps, which is why his sets flow through them without ever announcing a switch.
He builds each set as a narrative arc from A to B, and the route is rarely a straight one. With detours, sideways drifts, slow-burning breakdowns and loops back through earlier ideas, all with a clear destination in mind. To make that possible he works four decks, blending wax and digital in long, layered transitions that let a second record run underneath while the first one turns, so the mix is reshaped in real time instead of simply moving from one track to the next.
Left-field turns are part of the vocabulary too. When something outside house and techno fits the moment, it goes in, and the purpose is to create a pocket of tension or release on the floor rather than to show range.
Delano gives every slot the same commitment, from an early warm-up that sets the tone to a peak-time set at full throttle, and he reads the room closely enough to build the night with the crowd instead of pushing through a script of his own.
